I first became aware of Jeremiah Brent when he appeared as Rachel Zoe's assistant on her reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project. I love a good reality TV show and particularly enjoyed watching Rachel and her team style American movie and TV stars. Due to Brent's background in Interior Design, Zoe wasn't confident he had a future as a fashion stylist. However, she had him design her families new Los Angeles home to great affect. Since then, Jeremiah has achieved great success setting up his own Interior Design company and marrying Interior Decorator Nate Berkus.
Domino magazine recently featured a Malibu condo he designed. When he first viewed the condo, Brent knew with the 180-degree ocean views he could transform the space into an open, airy space with clean lines and a cool, neutral palette. He was inspired by his client's passion for travel and so devised a whitewashed, "coastal Moroccan' theme.
He has combined both high and cost-effective pieces ensuring that the space feels curated. My two favourite pieces are unfortunately at the high end, isn't that always the way - the John Dickinson side table and the marble entrance table.
If you are interested in creating a similar space, below are a mixture of high and low end suggested pieces, currently available to the UK
