I'm a spiritual gal and as my friends and colleagues will attest I love exploring and living a healthy life. Bringing natural elements into the home helps me feel more connected with nature whilst living in one of the most crowded and dynamic cities in the world.
This doesn't mean my house is full of wood and pebbles smelling of incense. I have tried to introduce natural pieces throughout my rooms which are both sophisticated and stylish.
I love crystals and marble and Eduardo Gaza is a Mexican artist currently residing in New York who creates gorgeous sculptures, art objects and hardware for the home. He uses materials from crystals, semi precious stones to gold. Below are a two examples of his pieces. I encourage you to check out his website and be blown away by his pieces.
The first piece below is a gorgeous rock crystal natural quartz formation sitting on a hand sculptured gold setting. The second are his malachite pulls placed on a drinks cabinet by US based designer Preston Lee (who I'll dedicate a post to sometime in the future). Unfortunately these pieces sell way beyond my budget, however West Elm have collaborated to produce an affordable beautiful collection. I have a birthday coming up and think one of these items, if not both will be on my wish list.
