Over the next few months you are going to hear me talk a lot about the building work I'm planning for my house. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my mother, sister and her son Otis will be visiting from Australia next year to help celebrate my Aunt Dada's 90th birthday.
I've been wanting to extend into my loft for sometime now and their impending visit is the perfect excuse to put up with this terrible impending chaos. So the plan is to possibly add two new bedrooms and a bathroom on the 3rd floor. This means so much exciting decorating to plan. In addition to the extension I'll be painting my very tired hallway which annoys me intensely, decorating my front bedroom and sorting out the front of the house. Lots to plan and I'll be sharing those plans with you over the next few months.
Today I'm going to discuss my frustrations with my hallway. It is painted a plain white and it irritates me every time i pass through it (i.e everyday). I believe a hallway is a room you can have fun with and be a little daring. Originally I was thinking of painting it an unusual strong colour, but the release of Harlequin's latest wallpapers are drawing me in. Their collections keep getting better each season. I'm contemplating these papers below. Which do you prefer?
