Last week I had to pop into the Italian embassy in central London to renew my passport. As you can imagine it wasn't the most of exciting of activities but was I was pleasantly surprised and a little excited to see that they were hosting an Italian lighting exhibition.
The light I was enamoured with is called the Empatia and comes in three sizes. I have seen this light advertised in various interiors magazines but had yet to see it in the flesh. This light by Artemide was designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola Di Arianello and was inspired by the association between glass blowing traditions in Italy and LED technology. I think it is a super modern interpretation and love it. I'm in the market for a new bedside table lamp and the medium sized version is a contender. What do you think?
